Home 03:29
Verse 1 When I was a little, my mama said, I was too sensitive That’s why she cried all the time But oh how I’ve grown, into this charming man With all these charming plans Cause no one wants to be alone, so I will stick with what I know Chorus 1 Drinking, singing with my friends, writing songs till 3am Forgive me Ma’, it’s all I ever wanted to be I need someone to take my hand, show me that they understand I don’t mind dying trying to find my own way home Verse 2 All of my life I’ve been a lonely man, that's why I always ran From those I should have loved So I took all that pain and put it in six strings And let those holy chords sing the truth That’s all I’ve ever hoped to do, and that’s why I am here with you Chorus 2 Drinking, singing with my friends, writing songs till 3am Forgive me Ma’, it’s all I ever wanted to be I need someone to touch my soul, to be a rock and fit the role I don’t mind dying trying to find my own way home Bridge/Outro So are you going to come outside and play? Cause I don’t wanta go home, no I don’t wanta go home… I just wanta go home …

Times 02:47
Verse 1 I dove into the sea, peeled off my skin And let the salt seep in I took to the hills, tore off my gills I needed to be filled Chorus 1 Humming honeybee, won’t you sting? Drowning in my pride While you keep tuggin’, at my tides The moon lives in your skin Verse 2 I came into your arms, felt safe from harm And turned off my alarms, all my days I’d spend With you in bends, you made me laugh again Chorus 2 Humming honeybee, won’t you sting? Drowning in my pride While you keep tuggin’ At my tides The moon lives in your skin

Seams 03:19
Chorus 1 I’m holding on so it seems, I come undone at the seams I carry on so it seems, I’m holding on at the seams Verse 1 Like Lennie “Of Mice and Men”, I am doing the best I can I keep rolling on, like a chain gang song, even when… Chorus 2 I’m holding on so it seems, I come undone at the seams I carry on so it seems, I’m holding on at the seams Verse 2 When I was lost, cold and alone Your love warmed me to my bones As the moon shall rise, you ignite my nights, with lavender skies Even when… Chorus 3 I’m holding on so it seems, I come undone at the seams I carry on so it seems, I’m holding on at the seams

Verse 1 Aren't you tired of always running, from something or someone? You text me that everything is going great, so why then are you acting so strange I heard you quit your job then skipped out on rent You moved back home now on unemployment Just like your dad, well ain't that grand Pre Chorus 1 You may hate me when you hear this song But aren't you're the one who said to your only friend, “so long”? Verse 2 Why did you leave her stranded and alone? When you're the one that she called 'home' Maybe the real world just got too damn hard Or you figured girl power only goes so far Just like your mom, so sing along Chorus 1 So, so long and goodbye Pre Chorus 2 You may hate me when you hear this song You may say to me "fuck off" But aren't you the one who said to your only true friend, “so long”? Bridge You're such a pretty girl, so run for cover girl, such a clever girl That you've fooled all of your friends, oh except her Yeah you've fooled everyone, except yourself Chorus 2 So, so long and goodbye

Carousel 04:31
Verse 1 Build me up, knock me down with that old feeling When we used to believe that loves all you need So hoist me up, smack me around like a drunken clown Waiting for his queue to perform for you Look at us now, look at us now Chorus 1 I just wanta feel love again And look back on the ways of settling When we kiss goodnight, it feels like a chore and a bore And the way that we fight ain't fun anymore Verse 2 The scratches that you used to leave on my chest Showing the world he is mine don't you dare contest Well you know I love you, you know that I do, baby please You know I love you but right now I just wanta leave Look at me now, look at me now Chorus 2 I just wanta feel love again And look back on the ways of settling When we kiss goodnight, it feels like a chore and a bore And the way that we fight ain't fun anymore Yes the way that we fight ain’t fun anymore Bridge I'm bored to death Day after day, again and again and again Outro Spinning round and around on this carousel Once was our amusement, now it’s a living hell Get me off

Verse 1 Hold on I won’t go nowhere Death is the only thing of which I’m not scared ‘Cause the corpses are laughing, so naked and bare They’re livin’ the life love, and hell it ain’t fair Pre Chorus 1 Press on me, my giving tree We’ll live too, before we’re through Verse 2 I asked my mama for advice She said “Baby, you know all things come at a price Heaven and hell, sorrow and strife I gave these things to you the day I gave you your life.” Pre Chorus 2 I had a dream I was the welfare queen Draped in green where my pride used to be Chorus 2 I ain’t never need no favors So you can keep all your saviors I’m taking back what was never mine I’m not wasting no more time Verse 3 Now I know there’s no God but I still yearn to confess All my lies and my sins sittin’ tight in my chest They say the devil you know is the one you should trust So I’ll leave all my faith in the lap of my lust Pre Chorus 2 Press on me, my giving tree We’ll live too, before we’re through Chorus 3 I ain’t never need no favors So you can keep all your saviors I’m taking back what was never mine I’m not wasting no more time

about

In the summer of 2012, Foxxhound began working on their third full-length album, ‘The Devil You Know’. They decided to work with locally lauded producer Anthony Arvizu at his Long Beach studio The Compound. This was their most produced album. It incorporated live strings, drums, keyboards, electric guitars, and many more instrumentations. The album contained nine songs with seven of them being written by Daniel Morones. This album also showcased Lizzi Murtough as both a singer and songwriter including two songs that she co-wrote with Daniel; one of which became the album’s title track. For budget reasons the album was recorded over a six month period. While recording the album, Foxxhound began performing live with drummer Ron McGill and keyboardist Brent Brandon. Ron and Brent would become permanent members of Foxxhound and would also record on the album. On June 26, 2013 ‘The Devil You Know’ was officially released with a record release show on June 29 at Room 5 in Los Angeles. The album was received well by critics and fans but never charted. In the fall of 2013, Foxxhound amicably disbanded.
